ANNIVERSARY 2009
2009 will be the 50th anniversary of Bury being twinned with Angouleme, 40 years with Tulle, 15th with Schorndorf and 10 years with Woodbury. A major celebration is planned and it is hoped that visitors from all four twin towns will gather in Bury in early July. Planning is well under way with several events already confirmed including a visit by cyclists from Tulle, Angouleme and Schorndorf and an exhibition of Photographs from the Photographic Societies of each twin town. We also hope to have theatre groups, musiciands and dancers taking part - watch this space.
