NOVEMBER
AGM: On Thursday, 4th November The Annual General Meeting of the Association will be held at Stand Unitarian Chapel School Hall, Ringley Road Whitefield. Please make a note of this date for your diary; more details of the programme will be published closer to the date.
BOYAN CHOIR: On Monday 8th November, the Boyan Choir will be visiting Bury again. If you have heard them in previous years you will recall their outstanding rendering of sacred chants and folk songs, and “their intense harmony; astonishingly low notes and utterly glorious singing.”
Traditionally the Twinning Association members have hosted members of the choir overnight.
The choir consists almost entirely of men. It is due to arrive in Bury about 4:00pm. on the day of the concert and will leave again at 9:00am. the following morning. They will require an early evening meal on the day of their arrival, a bed for the night and breakfast the following morning. They will not be demanding guests and will greatly appreciate the traditional Bury hospitality. If you would like to act as a host please contact Larysa Szalapa or Olga Stecko on 01706 526001 or 01706 825740
Tickets cost £16 ( £15 for seniors or £8 for children) and can be purchased from the Tourist Information Office or on the night, at the door of Bury Parish Church. If you are a host you will
receive one free ticket for each person that you accommodate.
LANCASHIRE NIGHT: On Friday 26th November, come and celebrate Lancashire Day with your fellow Town Twinners at Ramsbottom Civic Hall. Traditional Lancashire fare will be served; The Dodgers and The Saggy Bottom Girls will provide the entertainment. Reinstate your Lancashireness and forget GMC for the night. Bring your friends. We will be notified of the cost of tickets closer to the event, so at this time, please note the date in your diary.

The event raised £2600 which is being shared between Bury Cancer Support Centre, Bury Hospice
and Streetwise 2000. Yvonne and David would like to thank all those members and their friends who visited the garden in the most awful weather and contributed so generously.
