LANCASHIRE NIGHT

Lancashire Night in Ramsbottom’s

newly refurbished Civic Hall on 26th

November provided a really enjoyable

evening’s entertainment for nearly 100

members and f r i e n d s . The

entertainment by The Dodgers (almost

our resident band) and the Saggy

Bottom Girls (a misnomer if ever there

was one) alternatively amused and

touched us with songs like the ‘the

Baby Boomers’ and ‘Poverty Knock’,

which was sung by Joyce Johnson, who

also read out the Lancashire Day

Proclamation. Traditional Lancashire

Hot Pot and Apple Pie ensured that we

didn’t suffer the fate of some of the poor

people in some of the songs.

Our newly inaugurated Chairman,

Yvonne Moore, congratulated the

planning group - Sue Roughan and Pat
